House league is for rising 2^nd through 12^th grade boys and girls. Skills evaluations for 4^th grade and above are held in early June (2^nd and 3^rd grade teams are formed without skill evaluations). Games begin in late June. The season ends at the beginning of August. Games and practices are held during the week day evenings at local Centreville area school gyms. See fees page for cost.

Travel is a more competitive league is for rising 5^th through 8 ^th grade boys and girls. Tryouts begin May15  and teams are selected by June 1^st. Games begin in late June. The season ends at the beginning of August. Games are played during the week day evenings at gyms in Fairfax county. Practices are held in local Centreville school area gyms. To Register for SYA House League Summer Basketball

SYA will be holding tryouts for the SYA summer travel season for rising grades 5 through 8 (talented rising 4^th graders are also encouraged to attend tryouts).

Summer is a great time to develop your individual basketball skills. Players in our area have many High School basketball camp options. It’s a great way to improve and meet the coaching staffs and players of your favorite teams.

On behalf the Bendorf Family, we would like to thank all of you for the love and support we have received prior to and since Debbie’s passing.  Debbie lived her life to be the best Mom, wife and friend she could be, even while battling cancer for the last 5 ½ years.  The support from all you has made an unbearable event, bearable.  We are very grateful and fortunate to be part of this wonderful community.  The following is a quote from Debbie that sums up how we feel about the SYA program:
