All the kids had fun jumping around on 4 large inflatables---which included a maze, a huge slide, basketball hoops, and a moonbounce---while listening to excellent live music. There was plenty of terrific food provided by VA BBQ, and for your sweet tooth, Dee’s funnel cakes, fried twinkies, and delicious Pink Berry frozen yogurt. Parents made bids on the silent auction items and shopped at the Silpada jewelry tent. Of course you can’t have a Field Day without our friends from Glory Days and a spin on the prize wheel. My kids and I had our picture taken with the Hogettes, which will absolutely go into our scrapbook; hope you took a picture as well! We also want to thank Sports Authority and Sport & Health for coming out and enjoying the day with SYA. Soccer, baseball, volleyball, and 1k and 5 k fun runs lead by track & field kept the day moving and full of excitement. The SYA Sports Park is a beautiful complex and a wonderful place to spend the day. We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did, and we are planning a full slate of events at the Sports Park in 2012! ---Karen Gentry
