SYA Basketball provides the youth of Centreville, Clifton and nearby communities a healthy and safe basketball experience. SYA develops basketball skills and qualities essential to good citizenship; good sportsmanship, leadership, team play, self-discipline and integrity. SYA Basketball uses Codes of Conduct that our coaches, parents, and players are expected to understand and promote.

8th Grade Girls - Division 2 Summer League Champions - Coaches Mike Horinko, Kirk Cooper
SYA defeated McLean (the #1 team seed) with a score of 37-34 to win the title.

Summer Camp - Bob Korman and his team attend local Summer Camp
SYA had a large contingent of basketball players attending the Wootten Basketball Camp this summer at Frostburg MD. Pictured above is Legendary Hall of Fame Coach Morgan Wootten, Camp Director Joe Wootten, along with the SYA players attending the session held June 27-July1. The camp proved to be a great team building event.
