The pitching machine at E.C. Lawrence failed Wednesday, and one of the machines at Colin Powell failed earlier in the week. Both have been removed. The Colin Powell machine will be repaired and moved to E.C. Lawrence. A new pitching machine has been ordered for Colin Powell. The field maintenance director is on top of the situation, and understands that everyone needs working pitching machines. Please consider rescheduling your batting practice at Mott over the next few days.
To reserve a batting cage, please send your requested date and time to jean@thoensen.net with the subject line "Colin Powell Batting Cage", "Mott Batting Cage", or "EC Lawrence Batting Cage". Include the head coach and team names.
Cages can be reserved for one or two hours by the head coach ONLY. Cages can be reserved up to 10 days in advance and twice per week. Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations will be confimed by e-mail in addition to updating this Web page.
Colin Powell has two tunnels. The first one you approach is #1; the one behind it, closer to the woods, is #2. Numbers will be added to the tunnels in the near future. Teams may reserve only one tunnel at a time.
SYA Softball is pleased to announce that the E.C. Lawrence cage can now be reserved by SYA Baseball using the procedure outlined at the top of this Web page. Softball teams have first priority, and may bump a baseball team out of a reserved time slot.
