SYA SOCCER REFEREE PAY RATES

· Referees are paid the per-game rates listed below for matches assigned by SYA Soccer.

· Payment is issued via check at the end of each season (in June following the Spring season, and in November/December following the Fall season).

· Referees who are paid $600 or more in a calendar year will receive an IRS 1099 tax form to file with their annual tax return.

· Referees who fill in for another referee at the last minute—for an injured referee, no-shows, car troubles, or other unforeseen circumstances, are awarded an emergency referee bonus.

· Referees who officiate several recreational and/or Suburban Friendship League (SFL) games, either per day or per season, are awarded the bonuses listed below.

· Bonuses are cumulative—you can be paid a bonus for working several games per day, many games per season, filling in for another referee at the last minute, and mentoring other referees.
